HVAC means Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Frequently, when people need to select a contractor for their HVAC System, it is because their AC system is down and their home is HOT! In this situation, home owners often fail to carefully select the best HVAC company. Here is a quick checklist of items to consider while you are choosing a heating or air conditioning specialist:
Is the HVAC company available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or will you need to wait until the next business day for service?
How will you be expected to pay?
Do they accept credit cards?
Do they offer financing on new equipment installations?
Are the AC technicians trained to work with your HVAC system manufacturer?
Will they re-calculate the "cooling load" required to heat your home in order to recommend a properly sized Air Conditioning and Heating system for your home?
Will they check your HVAC ducts for leaks, a common place where homes waste energy dollars?
Are they certified by NATE – the North American Technical Excellence training program
Are they member of the Better Business Bureau?

A typical home or office HVAC system is sometimes referred to as a loop system because the air passes through and is circulated in an endless loop of duct work and vents.
The system starts by air circulating into the system through the return air ducts that can be located on the floor, ceiling, or internal ductwork. The air is then pushed through the filter and into the main equipment of the HVAC system. Once the air is filtered and the quality improved and temperature adjusted it is pushed back through the ducts and out of the vents throughout the system.
